Closure: Why you need it…or not.
‘You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months
over-analyzing a situation, trying to put the pieces together, justifying what
could’ve, would’ve happened…or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and
move on.’ - Tupac Shakur.
‘Letting go doesn’t mean you don’t care about someone
anymore. It’s just realizing that the only person you have control over is yourself.’
- Deborah Rider.
‘I’m done with those. Regrets are for people who have failed.’
-Ned Vizzini
‘It’s good to leave doors closed. Otherwise you will be
tempted to go back and go through them again.’ -Joshua.J.O
‘Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to
add, but when there is nothing left to take away.’ -Antoine De Saint-Exupery
‘When hungry, eat your rice; when tired, close your eyes. Fools
may laugh at me, but wise men will know what I mean.’ -Lin Chi
‘We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an
act but a habit.’ -Aristotle
‘What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in
the end of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.’ -John Ruskin
‘Even if you’re on the right track, you get run over if you
just sit there.’ -Will Rogers.
‘Never be afraid to laugh at yourself, after all, you might
be missing out on the joke of the century.’ -Dame Edna Everage
‘For truly I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass away,
not an iota, not a dot will pass from the law until it is accomplished.’ -Matthew
5:18
And my favorite;
‘Try a thing you haven’t done three times. Once, to get over
the fear of doing it. Twice, to learn how to do it. And a third, to figure out whether
you like it or not.’ -Virgil Garnett Thomson
I find that if you are not getting the closure you feel you
require, and cannot give it to yourself, then it’s probably not as necessary as you
think it is.
